Head constable shot inside police station in MP's Satna

In Madhya Pradesh's Satna district, a head constable, Prince Garg, was critically injured after being shot inside the Jaitwara police station early Tuesday. An unidentified assailant opened fire while Garg was resting. He is currently receiving treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa, and his condition is stable.

NEW DELHI: An unidentified person shot a head constable on duty, leaving him seriously injured inside the police station in Madhya Pradesh's Satna district in the early hours of Tuesday, an official said. The incident took place at Jaitwara police station between 12 and 1 am. Head constable Prince Garg sustained injuries and is receiving medical care at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa.

ASP Shivesh Singh Baghel informed that Head Constable of Jaitwara police station, Prince Garg, was taking a rest on the premises of the police station between 12 and 1 am on Tuesday. During this, an unknown person opened fire on him. Following this, he was immediately taken to the district hospital and later referred to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Rewa.



His health condition is stable and he is undergoing treatment." After receiving information about the incident, the SP organised several teams to locate the perpetrator. The police have successfully identified the suspect and are working towards apprehending him.

The official stated, "The accused has been identified as a resident of Mehuti village, and efforts are being made to arrest him. We will arrest him soon and take further legal action against him.".
