A CELEBRATED singer famed for his recording of ‘Walking in the Air’ is coming to Cheshire. Aled Jones is presenting a one-man show looking back on his 40-year career. He was the boy treble who captivated the world with his angelic voice.
But his captivating talk will reveal just how much more he has achieved than singing the famous song from Raymond Brigg’s animated film The Snowman. Aled comes to the Brindley Theatre in Runcorn at 7.30pm on Thursday, May 22.
His new show, entitled Full Circle, has already won much acclaim. One woman said: “Just watched Aled live. “A really down to earth man and so lovely to know more about his musical journey and career.
“More talented than I ever thought. The voice, even today, is just beautiful.” A man said: “My wife and I went to his Full Circle show.
"It was a great evening, videos of his life were fantastic and his presentation and singing were wonderful.” The evening will feature never before heard music, tales from the decades and for the first time, his story told in his own words. Equally at home singing classics or starring in musical theatre productions in London West End, Aled’s credits include lead roles in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.
Aled has performed in the world's most iconic venues, from London’s Royal Albert Hall to Sydney Opera House. A favourite with the Royal Family, he even gave a private performance to King Charles III in Kensington Palace. He is an award-winning television broadcaster and radio presenter who has interviewed hundreds of A-list stars over the years.
He heads up BBC’s Songs of Praise and has his own Saturday and Sunday morning shows on Classic FM. To book visit or call 0151 907 8360..
