Port Adelaide star Ollie Wines has been subbed out at half time of the Power’s clash with Sydney, due to a recurrence of heart issues. Wines has dealt with a heart regularity for several years, and was subbed out of a match against Hawthorn last year, while missing several games in 2022 when initially diagnosed. Wines has described the medical issue as ‘not life-threatening’, while Port Adelaide general manager of football Chris Davies said wines had had ‘a bit of a heart flutter’ during the second quarter, with the club taking all precautions.
“Look, Ollie had a bit of a heart flutter in that second quarter,” Davies told Seven. “He is in the rooms now, feeling far better, but it is something he has had to manage over some time. “He knows he has got to take himself out of the game when these things happen.
“[It’s] only concerning in the sense that we are worried about Ollie’s health. Right now, as I say, he is back to normal in the rooms and I am sure he will go through whatever he needs to go through this week and potentially be available next week.” MORE TO COME.
