Heavy police presence, road closure at Pearson airport for unknown incident

Police and paramedics are on scene at Toronto Pearson International Airport's Terminal 1 in response to an unknown incident on Thursday. Video from the scene shows a heavy police presence with several police vehicles. CBC confirmed at least a dozen police cars on the road going to departures at Terminal 1.

A number of passengers were seen walking up to the road with their luggage to get to Terminal One. It is unclear whether flights have been impacted by the incident. Paramedics said they were called to Terminal 1 just before 7 a.



m. and remain on scene. Highway 409 to Terminal 1 departures is closed due to a police investigation, Ontario Provincial Police said in a post on X.
