Move over ketchup - Heinz has now launched an unusual new sauce with a quirky flavour. A fried chicken condiment perhaps wasn't what you imagined 2024 would bring. But Heinz has now unveiled just this, in a shock turn of events that will no doubt throw die-hard sauce fans completely off guard.

Simply named the 'Fried Chicken Sauce', this creamy dip was actually debuted at a pop-up stall last summer, but is now available at supermarkets nationwide. It's been described as a 'flavour bomb' by Thiago Rapp, the Head of Sauces at Heinz, with a light chilli kick that is ideal for pairing with chicken. "Fried Chicken is one of Britain's most consumed dishes, more so than fish and chips," Thiago explained.

KFC launches first-ever perfume - and it's inspired by a mouth-watering menu item "So, it made perfect sense to bring together our passion for making the nation's most loved sauces, and the cult-love for Morley's . We've created a sauce that enhances the flavour of any dish, whether you're a fried chicken aficionado or simply love good food, this sauce is a game-changer." While you may be quick to think the sauce is chicken-flavoured, it's actually a blend of tomatoes, paprika, onions and chilli.

Creators claim it can be used to elevate various dishes aside from chicken too - from spicy grilled lamb to halloumi and rice. While you may be quick to think the sauce is chicken-flavoured, it's actually a blend of tomatoes, paprika, onions and chilli ( Image: Heinz x Morley's Fried Chicke.
