February 20, 1943 — April 15, 2025 Helen Ann Smith, age 82, of Grand Island, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, from 5 to 7 p.m.
, at All Faiths Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m.

She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Sioux City Bishop Heelan in 1960. On February 3, 1961, she was united in marriage to Gene R. Smith.
The couple lived briefly in Sioux City before moving to Grand Island. Helen owned and operated a residential cleaning company. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers. Helen had a giving heart and always wanted to care for others and especially spoil her grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Gene Smith of Grand Island and Deb (Ted) DeBoer of Doniphan; grandchildren, Tori, Morgan (Randy), Madison and Hunter; brother, Jim (Ramona) Marcovich; sisters, Mary (Mike) Smith and Nancy (Michael) Suthers; sister in-law, Jane Marcovich and honorary children, Raini (John) Mehring and Mike Augustine.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Alex Marcovich; and daughter in-law, Linda Smith. All Faiths Funeral Home.
