A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Brighton Magistrates’ Court. Nathan-Scott Davies , 34, of Lagnersh Camping, Bognor Regis, must pay a total of £150 in a fine and costs for failing to comply with a community order by failing to attend an office appointment on March 25, 2025. He admitted the breach.

Lee Blake Sc’erri , 56, of Gloucester Street, Brighton, had a community order revoked after failing to attend office appointments on November 13 and December 17, 2024. He admitted the breach, and a new community order was imposed for the original offence of assault by beating on May 24, 2023, on Lewes Road in Brighton. Sc'erri must now complete up to 20 rehabilitation activity days before April 9, 2026.



Emma Ballard , 45, of Gladys Avenue, Peacehaven, was banned from driving for 12 months for driving a Volkswagen while unfit through drink on December 1, 2023, at London Road in Hildenborough, Kent. Disqualification was obligatory for the offence. The disqualification may be reduced by three months if she completes an approved course by June 10, 2025.

Stephen Cager , 48, of Compton Street, Eastbourne, must pay £85 in costs after admitting to breaching a community order by failing to attend unpaid work appointments on November 5 and November 12, 2024. The community order was revoked, and a new community was imposed for the original multiple theft offences. Cager stole items worth £174.

80 from M&S in Malling Street, Lewes, on October 16, 2024. Cager also stole items worth £180.00 from the Co-op in Polegate High Street on October 10, 2024.

Cager also stole items worth £337.26 from Homesense in North Street, Brighton on December 23, 2023. Cager also stole items worth £67.

90 from the Co-op in Old London Road, Brighton on July 12, 2024. Cager also stole gift sets, diffusers and sleep masks worth £417.00 from Oliver Bonas in Brighton on February 10, 2024.

Cager also stole items worth £129.60 from a Co-op in Brighton on April 20, 2024. As part of the new community order, he must undergo drug rehabilitation for three months and complete up to eight days of rehabilitation activity.

A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Crawley Magistrates' Court. Daniel Luke Anderson , 32, of Meeds Road, Burgess Hill, was sentenced to prison for eight months after having a community order revoked for failing to attend unpaid work appointments on September 3 and September 10, 2024. The community order had originally been imposed on Anderson for being the owner two dangerously out of control pit bull dogs, named Cartel and Loco, who injured two individuals at Mead Road and Station Road, Burgess Hill on January 7, 2023.

He must also pay a £187 victim surcharge. The court heard that the offence was so serious because of the serious nature of the allegations and Anderson's wilful refusal to comply with the community order. Arnas Glemza , 32, of Master Street, Barking, had a sexual harm prevention order extended from five years to two years, after being convicted of intentionally exposing his genitals with the intention that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress.

The incident took place on The Street in the village of Bolney, near Haywards Heath, on October 20, 2023. The sexual harm prevention order prohibits Glemza from engaging in any activity or behaviour that could be deemed sexual or lewd in any area that a member of public can view, including masturbation, or touching his penis unnecessarily, or doing so after having been asked not to. He is also prohibited from exposing his genitals or buttocks in any area in which any person unknown to him may see, except in men's public toilets, men's changing rooms, or to a medical professional, though only if directed by the professional.

Paul Weller , 59, of Fitzalan Road, Littlehampton, must pay £175 in a fine and costs after breaching a domestic violence protection order on April 13, 2025, in Littlehampton. He admitted the breach..
