The Terras slumped to a 6-1 defeat in their final National League South game of the campaign and will be playing Southern League football next term. However, the emergence of some of the club's home grown talent is giving Terras boss Feeney some optimism ahead of the new campaign. This season may only just have finished, but work behind the scene is already underway to build a squad ready to return to the National League South in a year.
Part of that rebuilding process is likely to include defender Will Armstrong who has impressed in recent weeks after being thrust into the first after several injuries to Weymouth's back line. Speaking about Armstrong and how he has adapted to first team football at the Bob Lucas, Feeney said: "He's done very well. He's been out to get games earlier in the season and he will be involved more in pre-season.
"He is a good kid and he wants to learn and is very energetic." Feeney also praised young forward Kelson Pollard who did well to assist Mal Linton in the final day defeat to Chelmsford. On Pollard, the northern Irish coach added: "Kelson is doin well as well.
He needs to be fitter and he can get fitter but the future is looking good and we'll need everyone.".
