Hollywood singer Dionne Warwick is looking back at 60 years in showbiz

The Grammy Award winner will be singing her biggest hits and talking about her glittering career in her new show.

Six-time Grammy Award winner Dionne Warwick is bringing a touch of Hollywood to Kent with her glamorous new show. The singer is taking to the stage to perform some of her biggest hits, including Walk On By, Alfie, and What the World Needs Now. Dionne, 84, is looking back at seven dazzling decades in show business and giving audiences a glimpse into her remarkable career.

Since starting out as a gospel singer in New Jersey, the chart-topping artist has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has collaborated with the likes of Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder. Her huge numbers have seen her win multiple Grammy, Billboard Music and NAACP Image awards, and a documentary about her life debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2021. The new show, named Don't Make Me Over, includes excerpts from the film with contributions from famous faces such as Bill Clinton and Elton John.



This will be intertwined with live musical performances and the singer’s anecdotes from more than 60 years in the spotlight. Dionne Warwick will be at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury on Monday, May 5. You can book tickets online here .
