Houligan's Corner opens in Broken Arrow

The restaurant at 22431 E. 71st St., Broken Arrow, opened Saturday with the same menu — even some of the same staff — as Bros. Houligan on Yale.

Fans of Tulsa’s iconic comfort food eatery Bros. Houligan can now get their chicken-fried steak and cream gravy fix in Broken Arrow at Houligan’s Corner. The restaurant at 22431 E.

71st St., Broken Arrow, opened Saturday. The owners Trent and Jessie Vallier licensed with Bros.



Houligan, 4848 S. Yale Ave., so they are serving the same menu.

Even some of the same kitchen crew came over to expand the brand to Broken Arrow. The hours at Houligan’s Corner are 4-9:30 p.m.

Monday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m.-10 p.

George, a Sapulpa resident, is one of three finalists for this year’s “Do Us a Flavor” contest sponsored by Lay’s. More than 700,000 people submitted entries for this year’s contest in the hopes that their idea for a new flavor of Lay’s Potato Chips would earn them the $1 million grand prize. George’s submission, Bacon Grilled Cheese Flavored with Other Natural Flavors Potato Chips, was inspired by her late father’s bacon grilled cheese recipe, which combines two favorite flavors into one.

The other two finalists in the running for the $1 million prize are Lay’s Valentina & Lime Flavored Potato Chips, submitted by Araceli Huerta from San Jose, California, and Lay’s Wavy Korean-Style Fried Chicken Flavored Potato Chips submitted by Neelia Lynn from Chesterfield, Virginia. “We are always looking to our consumers to inspire the next great flavor of Lay’s, and Do Us A Flavor is the most direct and authentic way to do so,” said Denise Truelove, senior vice president, marketing, PepsiCo Foods. “As a leader in flavor and innovation, only Lay’s can turn a great idea from our fans into a delicious potato chip in record time.

” The three new flavors will be available in stores beginning April 21, and fans will have until June 13 to vote for their favorite flavors at the website, dousaflavor.com . Old World Pizza to reopen Old World Pizza in Broken Arrow has been closed since early March after a car drove into the building, causing damage that required repairs.

Participants of the program will learn skills including marketing, public relations, securing business financing and obtaining permits. Additionally, participants will have access to commercial kitchen space and pop-up sales avenues inside Mother Road Market. During the Launch Program, participants will be exposed to an elevated curriculum and complete a full pitch deck and business plan.
