George Clooney will need some luck after ditching his silver fox look. The Oscar winner recently dyed his signature gray hair to a shade of dark brown in order to play Edward R. Murrow in the new Broadway adaptation of Good Night, and Good Luck , the 2005 movie which George directed and starred in.
While the 63-year-old was thrilled to take the film to the stage, he and wife Amal Clooney are not fans of the hair transformation he had to undergo to look the part of the wartime journalist. "I know it's not good," he said of his new hair in a CBS Mornings interview that aired on April 21. "You never get used to it.
" George continued, "It's not my favorite look, and my wife, she thinks it's funny." Likewise, the couple's 7-year-old twins Alexander and Ella had quite the laugh when they saw George with his dyed locks. As the Ocean's Eleven alum put it, "Because, honestly, nothing makes you look older than being 63 and dyeing your hair.
" Good Night, and Good Luck opened at New York City's Winter Garden Theatre on April 3. At the time, George said Amal, 47, had to skip the opening night to be with their kids. Still, the actor didn't mind.
After all, he and Amal—who married in 2014—have got their parenting schedules nailed down. "Actually, a play is kind of a good schedule because you’re working at night," George shared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in February. "You get to see the kids during the day, so it's OK.
" Besides, he noted, Alexander and Ella "love" exploring the Big Apple. "Come on, how do you not love this?" George quipped. "It's New York City.
