Another weekend of drama has played out at the wrong end of the Championship table for Cardiff City. Unfortunately for manager Omer Riza and Bluebirds supporters, yesterday's 1-0 defeat at the hands of relegation rivals Stoke City has struck a hammerblow to their safety chances. A late own goal consigned the home side to defeat at Cardiff City Stadium in a game they desperately needed to win.
With four matches of the season remaining, things now look extremely bleak for Riza and Co. They sit in 22nd place, still in the bottom three with just four games of the campaign to go. League One football looks a real possibility now.
Conversely, the Potters now move five points clear of the drop. And rock-bottom Plymouth have given themselves an unlikely lifeline after stunning Sheffield United at home.

"We've got four massive games now, massive as they have been for the last nine, 10, 11, 12 games. We have a mountain to climb.
"We still have four games left and 12 points to play for, albeit it really tough games. "But you've got to do it. It's as simple as that.
If we don't the writing will be on the wall.".
