This year’s Tony Award nominations will be announced by previous Tony winners Sarah Paulson ( Appropriate ) and Wendell Pierce ( Death of a Salesman ) on CBS Mornings on May 1. The Tony Awards are produced in collaboration with Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League, and White Cherry Entertainment. Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss are executive producers and showrunners for White Cherry.
Weiss will serve as director. Several Hollywood heavy hitters could be receiving nominations in 2025, putting them that much closer to EGOT ( Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony ) status. There are 42 productions eligible for noms in the 24 different categories aross musicals and plays.
