HOUSTON — An investigation is underway after a drive-by shooting injured four people in southeast Houston early Sunday morning, according to the Houston Police Department . This happened outside a club on Nyack Drive near the Gulf Freeway just south of the Sam Houston Tollway around 3:30 a.m.

Police said an SUV was driving on Nyack toward the Gulf Freeway before turning around and opening fire on a crowd of 15 to 20 people in the parking lot of the club. HPD said there were also people still in the club. In total, four people were hurt.

Two men were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance. HPD said they were in "critical to stable" conditions with gunshot wounds. Two others, a man and a woman, had non-life-threatening injuries and were privately transported to hospitals.
