” The exact product Jade used is the Sika Black Tarmac restorer, 5L Jerry Can available at B&Q for £23. As for how many cans you’d need, Jade’s driveway is massive and she used three for one coat. Hundreds of TikTok users loved the end result.
One wrote: “Good for you girl.. looks so much better after.
Made your house pop especially next to the drive.” Another said: “I think it looks BRILLIANT. Well done for actually doing it.
” Someone else commented: “I do my drive every year doing this. It stops the tarmac breaking up and looks great.” But one homeowner claims it lasts longer than a year: “I painted mine about 12 years ago and it still looks good.
” One user said: “That’s really good, looks like you’ve got new tarmac put down, done a good job.” And another agreed: “Ooo looks like fresh tarmac.” Some were concerned the ‘newly laid tarmac look’ wouldn’t last the summer, and it would crack with heat.
Someone said: “Bad idea for when it’s really hot as the black paint will attract the heat more and make it crack.” Another chimed: “Will get hot and will crack in summer.” Home upgrades that add the most value to a house The best renovation to add value totally depends on your property, the local market and your potential buyers.
