LAYTON, Utah (ABC4) -- Parents are shocked after the director of a charter school in Layton was arrested for allegedly producing and distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
ABC4 visited the Leader Learning Academy campus in Layton, one of the locations that Jared Dallan Buckley, 40, oversaw. Buckley is currently being held without bail at the Davis County Jail, according to documents.Nancy Burns, a concerned parent, spoke with ABC4 over the phone about their experience with the director.
"I saw the news of the arrest, I was -- I mean -- I was shocked," Burns said. "I did a double-take, because I didn't know if I was reading that correctly..

"He actually came to my daughter's 'Nutcracker' performance in December of 2018 on a Friday or Saturday night. Super nice guy. My kids have always compared every other principal to him because he made school so fun," Burns stated.

And he was lost," Burns shared.The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force from the Utah Attorney General's Office has been hard at work to find out who is behind cases like these. Between April 15 and 17 of this year, they arrested 15 individuals who allegedly sexually exploited children online.
"We are here to protect children. We're here to be the divider between children and offenders who choose to sexually exploit them online," Commander Sete Aulai from the ICAC Task Force stated..
