Even Big Brother series one winner Craig Phillips posted in the comments under his professional page Mr and Mrs DIY: “I remember this well! It’s an amazing sound that will be with me for life!” Others commented about the song: “It's the only good thing about Big Brother.” Another added: “Hated big brother but love the theme tune!” “Got to give it credit where it's due. Banger of a theme song.
Not a fan of the show anymore,” someone else said. “Great song – better than the show,” one said. “First ringtone I ever paid for on a Nokia,” another fan said.
“The soundtrack of a distinct era in British culture.” The track has featured on every UK series of the show since it began in 2000, with a revamped version taking over from the fifth series onwards. It was released under the name Elementfour by Paul Oakenfold and fellow producer and songwriter Andy Gray.
