Prayagraj: For the first time, the UP Board will send the soft copy of marksheets of the High School and Intermediate Examination-2025 into the DigiLocker of the students, who have provided the details of their particular account, immediately after declaration of results. The board has been using DigiLocker service since 2010. However, the marksheets were uploaded after several days.

But from this time, the uploading will be done instantly after declaration of results. The marksheet will be verified and digitally signed. It will also have a QR code and will be accepted on par with the hard copy of the marksheet for any purpose.

Printouts of these marksheets can be used by students for initiating their admission process till the hard copy is handed over to them by their schools which takes a fortnight. "We know that many students, especially those in intermediate, need their marksheet soon after the declaration of the result for their further studies. Since they get the hard copy from their respective schools and it takes a few days, we have come up with the technological alternative of uploading their marksheets on DigiLocker as soon as their results are declared," said UP Board secretary Bhagwati Singh.

This marksheet will be for all candidates appearing in the examination, whether they pass or fail. If the marksheet is attached somewhere, the concerned department or institute will be able to do online verification if required. High school students will be able to download it from DigiLocker by entering their roll number and date of birth.

"Intermediate students will have to enter their mother's name along with their roll number to view and download the marksheet available on DigiLocker. It will be without design," Singh said. Moreover, the marksheets issued from this year will have many security features, including the fact that no one can tear them, and it will be waterproof.

"This time, the size and shape of the marksheet/certificate, which is to be made available to the students offline, will be changed. It is being prepared on A4-size paper, which cannot be torn. It will not tear or get spoiled even if it gets wet in water.

Even termites will not be able to destroy this marksheet," Singh said. Likewise, many features are being added for security. Micro letters will be used in the background.

The watermark used in it will be visible through ultraviolet rays (UV rays). This marksheet will have an anti-copy design. If its colour photocopy is made, the design will not appear in it.

The monogram will be visible only in sunlight and invisible in shade. Apart from this, some more features are being used that have been kept confidential by the board..
