Infinity Nikki’s new v1.5 update, available on PS5 right now , is comfortably the game’s biggest yet. It’s also been a bit of a disaster.
Infold Games, who had promised massive improvements to the overall experience alongside a hearty helping of new content, has been forced to release a grovelling apology . Before we get into the actual comments of the studio, we suppose you’ll want to know the compensation it’s promising for all players: That’s effectively 30 free pulls – on top of all the other free pulls included with the patch – which is generally unprecedented for games of this nature. So, what’s gone wrong? Well, on PS5 specifically, performance is bad, with the game even failing to boot in some instances.
There are a whole host of bugs across all platforms, although the studio says it’s already fixed over 100 of those and is working around the clock to solve more. Fans have also taken issue with some more general gameplay aspects. For example, one of the new 5-Star outfits requires 11 pieces to unlock, meaning you need to spend more pulls on it.
It’s promised this won’t happen again. Similarly, some fans have taken issue with the new DIY Workshop, which requires you to exchange a new currency in order to unlock different colours. But you need to individually unlock said colours for each individual outfit, which can become very expensive and is going to require further optimisation.
