Apple iPhone 16 Pro We are still a few months away from the iPhone 17 series launch, but the leaks aren’t stopping. The latest one claims we might finally get a non-metal color on the next premium iPhone lineup. The iPhone 17 Pro is said to be launched in a refreshing Sky Blue tone.
It could be similar to the latest M4 MacBook Air’s Sky Blue color option. This will be the first time since the iPhone 13 Pro series that the Pro lineup gets a shade of light blue. Apple’s Pro iPhone lineup hasn’t received a visual overhaul in a long time.
The camera module has stayed the same and the colors have become more boring with each launch. However, it looks like things could finally change this year with the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. iPHone 13 Pro Max in Sierra Blue According to tipster Majin Bu , the iPhone 17 Pro will come in a new YuangFeng Blue (Sky Blue) color, which will be the hero color of Apple’s next flagship.
The report defines this new color as “a soft, elegant blue, inspired by the clear sky of a spring morning. Not just any blue, but a refined, bright, and modern shade.” It goes on to say that the Sky Blue iPhone 17 Pro is the most fitting new color since it will create “aesthetic harmony across its flagship devices.
” Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro was the last Pro iPhone to be launched in a shade of light blue. It came in Sierra Blue and was one of my favorite iPhones. Apple currently offers several products in different shades of blue.
The new MacBook Air comes in Sky Blue, whereas the latest iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Mini all have slightly different shades of Blue. Interestingly, neither the MacBook Pro nor the iPad Pro have a shade of blue in their offerings. The iPhone 17 Pro would be the only Pro Apple product in the current product portfolio to launch in a Sky Blue variant.
The company moved away from light non-white color tones with the introduction of Titanium on the iPhone 15 Pro series. It was released in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and Blue Titanium colors, while the iPhone 16 Pro lineup made things more boring with Desert Titanium, Natural Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium color variants. The tipster says, “Sources close to the supply chain confirm that several iPhone 17 Pro prototypes have been made in various colors, with Sky Blue currently the frontrunner,” and added, “Unless Apple changes course at the last minute, this will be the star of the September 2025 launch event.
” The iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to feature a redesigned camera module, 12GB of RAM, and a more scratch-resistant display. Apple is said to finally bring a ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate display to the more affordable iPhone 17 lineup, including the iPhone 17 Air . The upcoming iPhones will likely be powered by a new A19 and A19 Pro chipset.
We could also see improvements in the optics department with a new telephoto camera..
