Just because something is popular doesn't mean everyone is supposed to like it. So to find out what popular things people hate, we asked the BuzzFeed Community their thoughts, and boy, did they deliver. Here's what they said below.
2. "Influencers who just want you to buy crap you don't need. Websites are constantly trying to tell you what to buy and why you need it.
Young people who should be saving their money or having traveling experiences are being conned into buying really expensive items to be cool." — dumbdora 4. "I feel like the Too Fast, Too Stupid movies glamorized idiotic driving that endangers other people.
Paul wannabes: No one else wants to be around you when you drive 110 miles an hour and zip recklessly around other cars in traffic. You are another reason why our car insurance rates are so jacked up." — BalconyDrinksH20 6.
"Smart fridges. Every single person I know (so this is anecdotal, I'm aware, and if this doesn't apply to you, I love that for you) HAAAATES theirs. The ice maker sucks/leaks/stops working, the amount of technology sucks, and they break down repeatedly.
Most people I know who bought one replaced it within two years with one that has a standard ice maker/water dispenser and have never looked back. (And at least those appliances can usually be fixed at home!) I will never ever own one." — smellsbells 8.
"AI. It’s taking away jobs from skilled, creative people and creating fake content that we don’t need." — belladawna 10.
"I don’t understand Twitter or how it works lol it’s so confusing." — lumpyflamingo 12. "I can’t stand TikTok.
" — KMB "Yeah, I’ve really tried to get into it, but it’s just never clicked with me. I think there are a few very clever creators out there, but you have to sort through SO much shit to actually find anything good. It’s just not worth the time, imo.
" — Jamie DuBois.
