Brookside star Ray Quinn has continued his exciting career in showbiz ahead of a homecoming show next month X Factor star Ray Quinn has set the record the straight as he issued a career update. The 36-year-old shot to stardom as Anthony Murray in hit Merseyside soap Brookside. He has gone on to enjoy a career in showbiz as he rose to further prominence when he appeared on series 3 of the X Factor in 2006.

Ray enjoyed further national television exposure when he won season four of Dancing On Ice in 2009 and the all star edition in 2014. The 36-year-old continues to enjoy a career in the industry and is active on his Instagram and TikTok channels. He has taken to TIkTok to share the latest update from his exciting career in a showbiz.



In a video which has been watched over 450,000 times, the entertainer, who hails from Gateacre , said: "Let's set the record straight, what does Ray Quinn do now? "I work on the cruise ships. So come with me as I travel half way across the world from London to the Caribbean." In the video, Ray documents his trip from London to Antigua in the Caribbean.

The performer showed a glimpse of the room he performs inside on the cruise ships. He added: "The audiences have been fantastic so, again, thanks to everyone who has come to see me so far. Please continue to do so, but here's a little taster of that.

Top Man." Ray has bounced back in the entertainment industry after a tough year in 2021 when he had had all of his gigs cancelled due to the pandemic and also lost his dad. Ray returned to work in the family business as a carpet fitter during this time.

He previously told Sunday People : "My dad was a carpet fitter all his life. He taught my brothers how to do it. Dad knew I was going to help Rob and encouraged me to do it – but laughed when I said I’d lifted my first tool.

“When I first started, I actually went to work in my dad’s old uniform. He’d ­always said you can work your way out of anything; to keep your head up high – and that’s what I’ve done. “It was good to be with my family during that difficult time.

I’ve been recognised the odd time but not that often ­because of social distancing and masks. Everyone has been really lovely.” Away from his career, Ray is happily married to his wife Emily after the two tied the knot in October 2023 in a ceremony in Peckforton Castle.

The couple welcomed their first daughter, Summer Reign Quinn, into the world in 2022. He shared a snap of the three on holiday with the following year with his 99,300 Instagram followers as he said: "Me and my two gorgeous girls. Here’s to the next holiday.

." Ray has also taken to Instagram today to reveal some exciting news as he is performing a Merseyside homecoming show at the end of next month. The singer revealed he was performing at The Southport Atkinson on May 24.
