I’ve Had It host Jennifer Welch tears into Democrat for ‘selling out’ trans people

Podcast host Jennifer Welch has laid into a veteran US Democrat for “selling out” trans people.The exchange took place on Tuesday’s (22 April) episode of the I’ve Had It. Welch and her husband Josh, who was sitting in for usual co-host Angie “Pumps” Sullivan, were joined by former congressman Rahm Emanuel.

During the chat, the conversation turned to what went wrong with the Democratic Party’s message during the 2024 presidential election.Emanuel, a former chief of staff at the White House during Barak Obama’s presidency, was asked what he’s “had it with”, the theme of the podcast. He replied that the Democrats were “fighting for the wrong things [and] weren’t really good about the family-room issues”.



Welch disagreed “100,000,000 per cent,” prompting Emanuel to pin the loss on trans people. However, Welch clearly wasn’t amused. “That is such bullsh*t, total bullsh*t,” she said. “That is buying into the right-wing-media narrative and I’m sick of Democrats like you selling out and saying this.

[The Republicans have] ripped the rulebook up and crammed it down everybody’s throat. Democrats are upset because Joe Biden pardoned his son. “We gotta f*cking fight.

They’re the gender-obsessed weirdos, not us. We’re the ones who fight for social security, we fight for Medicare, and we’re not gonna bully trans people. We’re not gonna f*cking do it.

She went on to pledge: “I’m gonna fight till the bitter end. I’m not gonna let some MAGA moron define what progressive values are. [That’s] a really dangerous precedent.

”Emanuel countered by saying he saw things such as trans issues as “tangential” and not a “core.” He also tried to crack another joke about being “bullied” in response to Welch saying Democrats didn’t have to bully transgender men and women as the Republicans do.A clip of the conversation has attracted a fair amount of reaction on social media.

“My new kink is Jen dragging Rahm to hell, summoning him back to life and dragging him back to hell again,” wrote one person. Another insisted: “This is the energy we love to see.”Someone else said: “Jennifer, I admire your intellect, integrity and ability to call people out on their bs.
