January 21, 1944—April 12, 2025 James N. “Jim” Williams, 81, of Vancouver, WA, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Ray Hickey Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born on January 21, 1944, in Lewiston, ID, to Douglas and Helen Williams.

After graduating from Lewiston High School in 1962 and attending college for two years, he began a 46-year career in banking. He held leadership roles with Bank of America across Washington, including branches in Aberdeen, Cosmopolis, Camas, Vancouver and Longview. He also completed the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.



After retiring in 2002, he returned to work at Columbia Bank in Longview, helping to build their commercial loan program before retiring fully in 2010. Jim was active in many civic and community organizations in the cities he lived in and found joy in trap shooting, hunting, fly fishing, tying his own flies, and making lasting memories with family and friends. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Kathleen; two daughters, Carmen Beuhl (Robert) and Erin Lopez (Isaac); four grandchildren, Katie and Jacob Beuhl and Zachary and Ella Lopez; three brothers, Leslie Williams, Frank Williams and Bill Williams, all of Lewiston, ID; sister, Rita Garland, of Clarkston, WA; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Marion. Rosary will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Vancouver, WA on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

followed by Mass at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the church.

Interment will be at Camas Cemetery, Camas, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lower Columbia Fish Enhancement Group 11018 NE 51st Circle, Vancouver, WA 98682 in memory of Jim Williams; the Lewy Body Dementia Association; or charity of your choice.
