“I am borderline obsessed with my messy uncontrollably curly post-chemo bangs,” she wrote. “They are giving me 80s vibes all day and I’m here for it.” “Positive comments only because it’s what they deserve.

. I loved my 80s chemo curls ❤️you look amazing !" On Oct. 8, 2024, Fischer revealed on her that she with Stage 1 Triple Positive Breast Cancer in December 2023, but was now cancer-free.
“After completing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation I am now cancer free,” she wrote at the time, sharing a photo of what she described as her “patchy pixie” cut. In her post, Fischer encouraged others to do a routine mammogram after doctors discovered “something in my left breast,” she recalled. In a over a week later, the actor noted that she wanted to share her story in hopes that it brought comfort and hope to other women receiving a breast cancer diagnosis.
Fischer also shared that losing her hair during chemo was one of the side effects that she was most concerned about. “I started by having just a big bald patch down this side of my head. And I would kind of do a real elaborate comb-over,” she said.
“I was like, ‘Oh, I understand why the gentlemen do this now. Yes, I can sort of pretend like that isn’t there for a while.’” Fischer never had a “big shave-your-head moment,” she said, adding that she instead wore more hats and wigs during treatment.
