Jenna Ortega Reveals Plans to Direct Her First Film After a Decade-Long Creative Journey

Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Ortega is poised to create her very first film, a project that she has claimed to have had in her mind for almost a decade now. During an interview with The Weeknd on V Magazine, the stunning actress revealed that she is now prepared to hit the director’s chair. “ I have a script that I’ve known that I was going to make for almost 10 years,” Ortega said.

“It’s weird because when I was younger, I thought of this and when I first started out in this field and it’s only now that I’m actually starting to take the steps to getting it done.” Ortega is widely recognized for her portrayal in Wednesday, Ortega’s production credits for the show’s second season is also yet another feather in her cap. Her work on set enabled her to appreciate the different aspects of filmmaking.



“A lot happens behind the curtains that I had no idea about. I'm trying to mentally reconstruct everything that has occurred. I believe I required a couple of years of that experience to comprehend how to do things in sequence.

” Ortega Mentions a Shift in Inspiration as a New Career Chapter "I think nowadays, I am receptive to everything—including my story—as a blend of anticipation, and in that sense, I feel I need that. Maybe all of those delays in making the film did serve a purpose and transformed me,” Ortega said. Telling her own story waited all those years for the leap, for life to align Orion's belt for creativity and inspiration to shine through.

“That makes sense ‘Everything I’ve done so far feels like it has led me here’,” she stated, while developing several other projects as driven by characters and tales that adored her. In Her First Directorial Role, She Will Star Ortega confirmed, ‘the idea is not to act on the follow up projects,’ but assured she will take the leading role in her directorial debut. “That's probably the main thing I want to live towards, accomplishing that, I see that for myself.

“Right now, while I'm starting out, I plan on using my acting career to get a better footing for myself. I don’t want to be cast in the projects that I will create in the future, but I will utilize my notoriety as an actor to ‘step up’."
