The Winnipeg Jets have to cross their fingers about their star player. Centre Mark Scheifele left Wednesday's Game 5 against the St. Louis Blues ahead of the second period and was ruled out at the start of the third.
It's unclear when Scheifele may have suffered an injury, but he was on the receiving end of a heavy hit from Blues captain Brayden Schenn in the first. Playing without the 32-year-old would be a big loss for the Jets, who are looking to advance past Round 1 for the first time since 2021.
