While Saif plays a con-man and Jaideep portrays a crime lord, Kunal’s character is a law enforcer standing in their way, determined to keep them from stealing the elusive diamond, the African Red Sun. “With Jewel Thief, there were two compelling reasons, the chance to collaborate with talents like Saif Ali Khan, Jaideep, and Siddharth Anand and the fact that every character in this story possesses a distinct voice and space in the story. At the end of the day, I believe your craft and character should do the talking, not your billing on the poster,” he added.The recently unveiled trailer has sparked immense anticipation as it hints at a gritty showdown, with Kunal’s unpredictable role adding intrigue to the thriller’s narrative.
