CID fans are in for a treat as the team will investigate a case with Jewel Thief's cast in a special episode out today. CID loyalists could never imagine that one day, their favourite show would collide with Netflix’s recently released film, Jewel Thief . In a major crossover, the CID team will investigate a new case featuring the cast of Jewel Thief.
The special episode will release today, April 26. Jaideep Ahlawat and Kunal Kapoor will be featured in the special CID episode, blending two fan-favourites in one unforgettable mystery. In the special episode, Jaideep steps in as Rajan Aulakh, a man whose creates suspicion with every move.
Kunal plays Vikram Patel, who is chasing Rajan and meets the CID detectives. Brimming with suspense, deception, and classic CID twists, the episode unveils a gripping case that links the cunning Jewel Thief to the unyielding CID officers. Jewel Thief released in Netflix on April 25, starring Saif Ali Khan in a key character.
The film revolves around a Jewel Thief, who is hired by a powerful crime lord to steal an elusive diamond, The African Red Sun. Saif is seen pitted against Jaideep in the film. Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins is produced by Siddharth and Mamta Anand’s production house Marflix Pictures, the film also stars Nikita Dutta and Kunal Kapoor.
As for CID, the show returned to Netflix on popular demand. Ever since, it has been making headlines for more reasons than one. The film’s iconic character, ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam), had headlined the show for decades.
