Excelsior Sports Correspondent JAMMU, Apr 27: Players of Jammu and Kashmir made the Union Territory proud by clinching 14 medals at the prestigious 68th National School Games held in Delhi. The J&K Gatka team led the charge with 10 medals, including gold, while athletes in Thangta and Boxing added further honours to the tally. J&K secured a total of 14 medals-1 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze-in Gatka across U-19 Boys, U-17 Boys and U-17 Girls categories.

Notable medallists included Kuljeet Singh, who won gold, Rajveer Singh and teams of Sehakpreet Kour, Harjas Kour, Harpreet Kour, and Rajveer Singh’s squad, earning silver medals. Bronze medals were earned by Jashan Preet Singh, Dilpreer, Bhupinder Singh, Kanavjot Singh, Kuljeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Sneha, Taniya, Manpreet Kour, Prabjot Singh, Harkirat Singh, Sarpreet Singh, Dilpreet Singh and Navpreet Kour.Additionally, three athletes from the Valley bagged Bronze in Thangta and one from Poonch claimed Bronze in Boxing.
