rights to Journey to the UFC: Joe Pyfer , with Canal+ in France and AMC Networks in Hungary also boarding the 90-minute feature doc, which is from New York’s Big Media . The deals, which Big Media struck directly with the networks, come ahead of Pyfer’s rescheduled UFC bout against Kelvin Gastelum on June 7. Roku has already launched the doc.



Journey to the UFC: Joe Pyfer will chronicle the MMA fighter’s life, from his brutal childhood of abuse to achieving his dream of competing in the TKO Group-owned UFC. Pyfer’s childhood friend, Chandler Henry, produced and directed, charting his life from age four, and pivotal moments such as running away from home aged 16, finding refuge with his high school wrestling coach and his rise in professional fighting. His career was nearly cut short by a devastating injury sustained during Dana White’s Contender Series, but after a long period of rehab and surgeries he triumphantly entered the UFC with a knockout win.

He was due to fight Gastelum last month, but a bout of illness meant they had to reschedule the highly-anticipated scrap until June.
