Excelsior Sports CorrespondentJAMMU, Apr 12: Reaffirming its dedication to employee wellness and the promotion of sports, the University of Jammu (JU) successfully concluded the Employees Cricket Tournament for the session 2024–2025.The event was organized by the Campus Sports Committee under the leadership of Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, and the coordination of Raj Kumar Bakshi, Incharge PTI.Aimed at fostering team spirit, physical fitness, and a healthy work-life balance among teaching and non-teaching staff, the tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from various departments and administrative units.
The matches, held at the University Cricket Ground, were played in a vibrant and friendly atmosphere.In a thrilling final, the University of Jammu “A” Team emerged victorious over Team “G” from the Bhaderwah Campus, capping off a tournament filled with energy and camaraderie.Dr Daud Iqbal Baba underscored the role of sports in enhancing productivity and building a cohesive work environment, while Raj Kumar Bakshi lauded the enthusiastic response and smooth execution of the event.
