A civic group, Uba Sani Legacy Projects Solidarity Assembly (USLEPSA), has said the Kaduna state government under Governor Uba Sani has cleared N6.9 billion in outstanding pension arrears and built 62 new secondary schools within 21 months of his administration. Speaking at a press conference held at Arewa House in Kaduna, the group’s spokesperson, Hadiza Mohammed, said the administration had also constructed 2,326 new classrooms and recruited 2,000 teachers as part of its human capital development agenda.

She said the state had taken firm steps to reposition public service welfare by introducing a N500 million revolving loan scheme for civil servants at a five percent interest rate, while also slashing tuition across state-owned tertiary institutions by 50 percent to ease the burden on students. The group highlighted major strides across other sectors, including the reconstruction of 12 General Hospitals, ongoing road projects across all 23 LGAs, and renewed investments in the water sector. It noted that Kaduna attracted $503 million in foreign direct investment between 2023 and 2024, while agricultural support programmes benefitted over 41,000 farmers across the state.

USLEPSA however, described the state as a model for responsive governance and called on citizens to continue supporting the administration’s reform drive..
