Following a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Kansas City Chiefs selected Ohio State offensive lineman Josh Simmons with the 32nd pick in the 2025 NFL draft. The Chiefs have made it no secret that they were in search of another top-tier tackle on the offensive line, with the desire to add more starter potential after signing Jaylon Moore at the start of free agency. Simmons is unofficially listed at 6 feet 5 inches tall and 310 pounds and has the skills to play left tackle in the league.

Simmons was named Third-Team All-Big Ten last season for the National Champions, and he suffered a torn patellar tendon in October that slowed his progress, affecting his draft stock as the potential top lineman in the class. His elite blocking ability, as measured by many experts around the league, should prove helpful for a unit that struggled at times during the season and in Super Bowl LIX.
