has launched the 2025 Great Big Bermuda Cleanup, inviting volunteers to join island-wide efforts through May 4. A spokesperson said, “Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB] is thrilled to kick off the 2025 Great Big Bermuda Cleanup [GBBC] — the island’s largest annual spring-cleaning campaign. Proudly sponsored by BF&M and Argus, the week of community action launched Sunday, 27 April and wraps up with a high-energy grand finale on Sunday, 4 May.

“Hundreds of volunteers are already gearing up to tackle litter and illegal dumping at dozens of sites across Bermuda. KBB invites everyone — individuals, companies, schools, and community groups — to be part of the movement by joining a scheduled cleanup or hosting their own. “The grand finale event starts at 9:00 AM on Sunday, 4 May, with a two-hour cleanup sweep through Warwick Parish.

Volunteers will meet at Warwick Academy on Middle Road, where excitement and community pride will be on full display. “In 2024, the GBBC mobilized over 1,300 volunteers who removed a staggering 28,000 pounds of trash from 89 locations. This year, KBB is aiming even higher.

” Angel Smith, KBB’s Executive Director, shared her excitement about leading her first GBBC, “It’s incredibly exciting to experience my first Great Big Bermuda Cleanup and to see our volunteers coming together for the greater good of our island. The passion and energy are contagious! I’m hopeful that this year we’ll surpass last year’s collection and make an even bigger impact on keeping Bermuda beautiful.” The spokesperson said, “Volunteer registration is now open! Sign up today at or call 799-5142 to get involved.

Together, let’s lead the way to a cleaner, greener, more beautiful Bermuda for everyone.” : , ,.
