LAHORE - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the formation of a high-profile committee to recommend reforms in the domestic cricket structure. The newly constituted committee comprises key figures within the PCB and the cricketing community, including Bilal Afzal, Advisor to the Chairman PCB, Sumair Ahmad Syed, Chief Operating Officer, PCB, Wahab Riaz, Director Champions Events and former national cricketer, Aaqib Javed, member of the PCB Selection Committee and ex-Test fast bowler and Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed, President, Lahore Regional Cricket Association. This reform-oriented committee has been tasked with preparing and submitting its comprehensive set of recommendations within five days to the top PCB leadership.
The committee’s formation reflects PCB’s renewed commitment to enhancing the competitiveness, professionalism, and structure of domestic cricket — widely considered the backbone of national team development. The inclusion of Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed – a seasoned cricket administrator with deep roots in regional cricket – has been widely praised.
