Dayo Adeyeye, the son and manager of legendary juju musician, Otunba Sunday Adeyeye who is popularly known as King Sunny Ade, has denied the rumoured kidnapping of his father. The clarification followed a widespread fear about King Sunny Ade’s alleged kidnapping and concerns about his whereabouts. However, the young Adeyeye, in a statement categorically denied the rumour, describing it as a malicious attempt to tarnish the iconic musician’s image.
“We want to assure the public that King Sunny Ade is safe and sound,” Adegeye said. He maintained that, “There is no truth to the kidnapping rumour, and we are taking appropriate steps to address the situation and identify those responsible for spreading this false information.” He further reassured fans and well-wishers that the ‘King of World Beats’ is not abducted or kidnapped by anyone.
