KP concludes seminar on ‘One Health Hub’

Peshawar - A two-day seminar on activating the One Health Hub in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa concluded successfully under the aegis of the KP Health Department, in collaboration with the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Peshawar - A two-day seminar on activating the One Health Hub in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa concluded successfully under the aegis of the KP Health Department, in collaboration with the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The seminar brought together representatives from various provincial departments to discuss risk assessment, resource mapping, and expert support for implementing the One Health framework across the province. Delegations from the Livestock Department, Border Health Services, Forestry and Environment, KP Food Safety and Halal Food Authority, Rescue 1122, and the Department of Information took part, alongside international partners such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the UK Health Security Agency.

Participants examined province-wide health-related risks, identified key resources, and reviewed the availability of experts for rapid responses. Sessions also focused on designing a governance structure to operationalize the One Health Hub. KP signs MoA to empower youth through vocational training Practical exercises addressed emergency health response strategies, inter-departmental coordination, and institutional responsibilities during crises.



A comprehensive report containing the seminar’s recommendations will be shared with relevant departments for implementation. Tags: concludes seminar health.
