Kyobo Life announced on April 21 that it will implement the 'Kyobo New Health Care Service' starting this month, providing comprehensive support for health management from diagnosis to recovery. This service encompasses an integrated healthcare program that includes hospital appointment scheduling, accompanying nurses, healthy meal planning, and caregiver support, addressing everything from disease prevention to emotional support after severe illness diagnosis. To enhance service quality, Kyobo Life established 'Kyobo Dasom Care', the first healthcare subsidiary in the life insurance industry, at the end of last year.
By directly operating the service through its subsidiary rather than outsourcing, Kyobo has significantly improved service quality, with the number of customers using Kyobo Health Care Services surpassing one million since its introduction in 2001. One of the key enhanced services is the 'Nurse Accompaniment.' Dedicated nurses provide one-on-one consultations to recommend hospitals and specialists while accompanying patients during outpatient visits, offering medical information and emotional support.
Additionally, services available for up to ten sessions include a ‘Care Meal Plan’ for post-discharge recovery, ‘In-Person Psychological Counseling’ for psychological support, and ‘Caregiver Support’ that matches clients with professional caregivers on a one-to-one basis. Alongside the launch of this service, Kyobo Life will also run the 'First Encounter 7524!' campaign until June, inspired by the customer service hotline number '7524' (which translates to 'treatment doctor'). "Through our health care services, we aim to expand personalized support that enhances customers' quality of life beyond just insurance coverage," said an official from Kyobo Life.
