Lanes closed and heavy traffic on M62 outside Warrington after crash

The crash, which involved two vehicles, occurred between junction 11, Birchwood, and junction 12, Eccles interchange. Lanes one, two and three (of four) have been closed while the incident is ongoing. There is heavy traffic, and delays are expected until traffic returns to normal, which is predicted to be around 3pm.

Three fire engines attended the scene, and firefighters made the two vehicles safe and assisted one casualty from their vehicle..
