The Las Vegas Raiders have brought in a new regime, one that is hopefully, finally the one to turn this thing around. The Raiders haven't won a playoff game in over 20 years, and now would be a good time to end that streak. So, former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is on a mission to do just that, or he wouldn't have said this team is looking to win right away.
And, the same goes for former Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant general manager John Spytek, who is now the GM calling the shots. And, let's just throw this out there, he's done a great job so far. A post shared by Las Vegas Raiders (@raiders) And, not only has he done a good job during free agency and the 2025 NFL Draft, but he's also put together a good staff, whether it be helping Carroll put together the coaching staff or putting together his front office staff.
His staff has certainly started coming together, too, as he has now added two more names. And, he got one of his new staff members by getting one over on the Denver Broncos . Raiders make it official with front office moves pic.
twitter.com/S4povQeD2p According to the Raiders PR staff, Spytek and the team have hired former Broncos Director of College Scouting Brian Stark as their assistant GM, the position Spytek last held before this one. Spytek was once with the Broncos, so for him to steal one of their more important scouts away from them has to be a bit of a blow, and certainly is a win over the AFC West rival.
The Raiders also hired Johnathon Stigall, who was the New York Jets' National Scout. He will now be the Assistant Director of College Scouting behind Brandon Yeargan. Stigall also did some scout work under the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, and Chicago Bears.
These are two big hires for the Raiders. This article first appeared on A to Z Sports and was syndicated with permission..
