A leading Bolton school has been nominated for the Primary School of the Year Award. St Peter's CE Primary in Farnworth has been put forward for an Edfuturist award, one of two Bolton education establishments to be shortlisted for the awards. Chris Reddy of Bright Leaders, a Bolton company which works to improve leadership skills in children , has been nominated for the Edufuturist of the Year award.
Edufuturists aims to create a future-ready education system that empowers every learner to thrive. It holds yearly awards to celebrate the educators, organisations and teams dedicated to building the future of education. Children at St Peter's CE Primary School, Farnworth Headteacherat St Peter's CE Primary School, Jenny Scott, said: "We are overjoyed and immensely proud at being nominated for the Edufuturists 'Primary School of the Year'.
"The children, staff, governors and community all play pivotal roles in making St Peter's the outstanding, inspirational school that it is. Chris Reddy of Bright Leaders (Image: Supplied) Chris said: "It was a nice surprise, it is nice to get recognised for work we do day to day, and external recognition is lovely.
"The award ceremony is on June 26 in Manchester, I will definitely be going. I'm looking forward to connecting with more people who are doing great things in the education space. "I think I have been nominated because what we are offering at Bright Leaders is something different, getting young people to see themselves in a different way, it is all about leadership promotion.
"It is not often that young people get to see themselves as leaders. It has a massive impact on wellbeing and confidence.".
