'Legally Blonde: The Musical' Has Been Cleverly Updated for 2025 & Los Angeles Audiences Have One More Week to Catch the Show!

A new production of Legally Blonde: The Musical is now playing in the Los Angeles area and the show has been updated to make it timely for 2025!The beloved musical originally debuted on Broadway back in 2007 and has remained a fan-favorite of theatre audiences for the last two decades. NYC-based actress Kathryn Brunner has played Elle Woods in multiple productions of Legally Blonde across the country and she’s reprising her performance for La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts’ production.Grey’s Anatomy actor Michael Thomas Grant is taking on the role of Emmett!The production updates the show by incorporating TikTok dances in scenes involving the Delta Nu sorority and changing some of the lyrics to make them more current.

Paulette no longer listens to Celtic Moon on a “CD [she] bought for the store,” but instead on a “playlist [she] made for the store.”Legally Blonde will be playing in La Mirada, Calif. through May 18.
