formerly of Uniontown Lenora “Nora” B. Brady, 86, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, in her home in Colorado Springs, Colo., surrounded by loved ones.

She was born May 20, 1938, to Polish immigrants John A. Blaszczak and Victoria J. Oprzendek, on a family farm in Uniontown.



She graduated from North Union High School in 1956, where she was a majorette with the band for five years. She worked a variety of administrative jobs, from the Pentagon to St. Anthony’s and Penrose St.

Francis hospitals, where she worked for decades. Lenora is survived by her daughters, Victoria (Kent) Miller, Cynthia (Rick) Anderson; sons, Stephen (Diane) Brady, Michael (Michelle) Brady; four grandchildren, Kathryn Miller, Raechel Brady, Jack Brady and Erin Brady; and one sister. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl G.

Brady of Buckhannon, W.Va.; seven sisters; and a brother.

She grew up hauling milk, tending the garden and raising chickens. She loved her Polish / American heritage, her Catholic religion and her family. She enjoyed gardening her flowers until late in life, as well as the companionship of her dog, Honey.

Lenora was a beautiful, strong, compassionate, smart woman. She will be interred along with her husband at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo..
