Comedian Bill Maher had dinner with President Donald Trump near the end of March and reported back on his show, "Real Time with Bill Maher" a conversation with a thoughtful, considerate cerebral leader. He now wants us to know the private man with which he had dinner as contrasted with the arrogant, bombastic, low-information man we all know. Maher was conned by the pleasant and thoughtful man that, while making friends with him, was refusing to free a man he mistakenly sent to a foreign gulag.
Maher would have had the same experience with Putin, Mao, Hitler and other cold-blooded autocrats. Letters to the editor are encouraged. Submit letters at go.

Letter: Comedian Bill Maher was conned by Trump during White House dinner

While Maher spoke positively about the event, the president he had dinner with is not the real man, says Mark Bailey of Tulsa.
