Most Western leaders still refuse to accept that three years of sanctions, arms and money for Ukraine have failed to weaken Russia. Instead, they cling to the dangerous fantasy that Ukraine can defeat its much larger adversary, if only Western armies will enter the arena directly; an insane proposal that amounts to nothing less that WW3. Every day that a peace settlement in Ukraine is postponed, hundreds more needlessly lose their lives, yet our leaders remain enslaved by their witless imaginings of an imperialist Russia intent on conquering Europe.
As they chant their mantra, “Ignorance is strength. War is peace.”.
