Article content In response to the letter encouraging support for the CFL over the NFL: Seriously? Less than half of all CFL players are Canadian citizens. Why would watching a Canadian team with mostly American players make me more patriotic than watching an American team with mostly American players? Anyway, I appreciate the advice, but I’ll continue to watch the most successful sports enterprise in the world, thank you! Stop the bike lanes! I own a house on 92 Street just south of Yellowhead Trail. I received a letter from the City of Edmonton yesterday advising that they’re going to remove parking on one side of my street and they’re going to put in a bike lane.

Talk about ruining your day. I don’t want parking removed from my street and a bikelane added, and I know many of my other neighbours on 92 Street don’t want this either. Seniors for change So, according to reports, it’s seniors showing support for Carney because they are afraid of change.

At 68, I’m one of those seniors, but what I am afraid of is no change. If Ontario and the east are dumb enough to vote in this arrogant fool, this country is in trouble. Any one person voting for another Liberal term really needs to get a reality check.

What arrogance? Re “LILLEY UNLEASHED: PM Mark Carney’s arrogance knows no bounds” (April 23): I actually do not see Carney as arrogant at all. In fact, he is very moderate, down-to-earth, civilized, and normal. He answers questions directly rather than answering another question, is eloquent and articulate, authoritative, and knowledgeable — he is a long way from arrogant, in my honest opinion.

Give your head a shake, Brian Lilley. Don’t support the Libs A vote for the Liberals is a vote to destroy Canadian energy. They will cap production, restrict exploration, and stop the building of pipelines.

With a national pipeline system, Canada could sell oil to the world and bring in millions to our nation. Please don’t let them do this..
