Article content BEWARE THE BANKER It is inconceivable to me that after 10 years of Liberal ineptitude, corruption and malfeasance resulting in a whopping national debt that future generations will get to pay off, that there is a single voter in this country willing to give the Liberals another chance. Have these people been living under a rock for the last 10 years? Mark Carney loves to brag about his previous job as Governor of the Bank of England but he doesn’t talk about what a poor job he did. There must be a reason he’s known in the U.

K. as Mark Carnage and the unreliable boyfriend. Canadians: beware of the banker.

KID GLOVES My thought on how the campaigning has gone is outright disappointment. Not so much with the candidates, it’s with the mainstream media. If this country elects Carney we’re in for another rough four years where nothing will get done.

My disappointment is with the way the mainstream media has treated Carney with kid gloves when it comes to questioning him and not keeping on him about his hidden assets. Also not questioning Carney about Brookfield hiding money under Carney in the Caymans, Bermuda and the Isle of Man, but when it comes to Poilievre and Singh they take the gloves off and really ask them tough questions. If this country stupidly votes in Carney and the Liberals for another four years, I’m putting all my blame on the mainstream media for the mess this once great country will be in.

FAUX PIGSKIN PATRIOTISM I am surprised that my CFL comment (Letters, April 24) has generated interest. Perhaps my attempt at sarcasm needs work. My point is that I am offended at the selective outrage and patriotism shown by my fellow Canadians.

Where was their patriotism during the Freedom Convoy? Where is their patriotism when historical statues are being torn down? But they have plenty of disingenuous patriotism when it comes to supporting a political party plagued by scandals and ruinous economic policies. Do you have an opinion on the news of the day? Have your say! or email.
