The Elks have the talent to be a first-place team but it remains to be seen if they have the coaches to realize this potential and teach the “discipline” needed to be a team that fires on all cylinders without mistakes or penalties. Trump an afterthought The mindset of those who are voting in our election based on which leader will best serve Canada in dealing with Donald Trump is both astonishing and absurd. Trump has essentially tariffed the globe, yet some think to feel he will focus all of his attention on Canada? Do you think that Trump really cares about the outcome of our election, when he is only concerned about his own country, and that whomever he deals with matters? Wake up! A new voting system? Canada seems to be stuck halfway between the status quo and a new reality as to our voting system.

What advance polling has shown is that perhaps the time has come for a four-day vote, perhaps starting on a Saturday and ending at a reasonable time on a Tuesday (say 7 p.m. Eastern Time), with the same consideration for different time zones.

There would be benefits. Employers would not have to give time off for voting, except for exceptional circumstances. Election results would be known at a reasonable time.

Voting turnout would probably increase. It would be less expensive. No taxes for seniors Please tell me why you’re paying taxes on your CPP for all the years you’ve worked, then your money is being used by government and you never receive any interest on your money? And when you collect it once you’re eligible, they tax you again? As far as I’m concerned, seniors have built this country and shouldn’t have to pay taxes at all.

The government gives themselves big fat raises while seniors are lucky to get a 2.5% increase. Eliminate taxes on seniors and let them enjoy their lives in their golden years!.
