Middlemore Hospital Too often we see letters criticising Middlemore Hospital . I would like to offer high praise for the top care and attention I received over Easter weekend. Referred on late Saturday by Counties A&E under some urgency, I was seen promptly, efficiently and with care.
By 11pm, I was in the pre-surgical ward and was operated on shortly after lunch on Sunday. All nurses, doctors and surgeons were wonderful and I am truly grateful. While waiting after being admitted to the assessment ward, my wife and I were horrified by a complete meltdown by a patient under Corrections supervision.
The language and following fracas was quite frightening..
